Professor Sepp Gamsjäger was a world famous local water colour artist who drew his inspiration from the beauty of the local landscape. In 1994 his widow, Erna Gamsjäger, with the support of the local community created the concept of the Gamsjäger Artists’ Path which takes in ten of the Professor’s most beautiful places for painting. A permanent exhibition of the artist’s work can be seen in his house Auf der Gamsburg and there are frequent watercolour courses held here by prominent artists.
