The Lehárvilla is situated on the right bank of the Traun. This mansion was the home of the composer Franz Lehar from 1910 to his death 1948. Lehar composed some of his most famous works here, for example, the operettas The Merry Widow, Der Graf von Luxemburg, Paganini and Der Zarewitsch. After Lehar’s death the villa was left as far as possible as he knew with the original furnishings. The composer collected paintings, furniture and other artefacts so that the house, apart from its personal connections, accommodates a unique art collection.
