The museum of the volunteer fire service of St. Veit a.d. Triesting can be found in the modern fire station and is maintained by members of the fire service. Besides old documents, there are numerous interesting items in the museum; old uniforms, fire fighting equipment, century pumps, a fire engine and other vehicles dating from as early as the 19th century. In addition, there is an extensive collection of helmets and caps from all over the world including Nepal and South Africa. A highlight of the exhibits is the complete fire brigade uniform from the twin town of Ohasama in Japan.
