The eccentric Märchenhain, on the Märchenschlossstrasse in the Waldviertel, is devoted to myths and legends of the forest. There are over a thousand exhibits in twelve small exhibition areas dealing with such things as Grimm fairy tales, Scandinavian dolls, fairy tale books and pictures, fairies and trolls, flower drying, animals of the forest and a puppet theatre. There is also a unique teddy bear swimming pool which you don’t come across very often. You can round off your visit at the fairy tale shop.
