Sepp Mayrhuber (1904-1989) was a very well known Austrian painter, academic and graphic artist of the 20th century who is best known for his frescos. He studied at the Graphic School in Vienna and at the Vienna Academy under Ferdinand Andri. In 1936-1938 the artist was Andri’s assistant at the First Fresco School. The artist, a member of "Wiener Kuenstlerhaus", also lived in Paris for a time and travelled to Italy. From 1939 till 1945 Mayrhuber taught art at the Vienna Academy. The Dokumentationszentrum collections are devoted to the life and work of the painter with exhibitions of his stucco, oil paintings, water colours and drawings as well as tools used for stucco work.
