GIGA - Galerie Im GemeindeAmt first opened in 1987 in the municipal offices in Haid. The intention was to provide a gallery which one the one hand would display works by amateur and local artists and on the other hand to present works by established artists. Since its foundation the gallery has shown a diversity of works of art; paintings, drawings, collage, textiles, photography, sculpture, ceramics, dolls and jewellery. The artists represented range from the traditional to the highly experimental. The gallery continues to draw a large number of visitors.
