The Gothic parish church of St. Catherine, with its conspicuous Baroque tower by Johann Michael Prunner, stands at the southern end of the Hauptplatz. The interior has some exquisite ribbed vaulting and an outstanding choir originally built by Mathes Klayndl in 1483, which was later remodelled in the Baroque style by Antonio Carlone. The choir has a 16th century altar showing the Fourteen Holy Helpers with panels of the Life of King Wenceslas and St. George and the Dragon. The 17th century altarpiece is by the painter Adriaen Bloemaert.
