Located within the former Imperial Court Pharmacy this museum portrays the history of the Lipizzaner horses from their origins to the present day. Using paintings, engravings, drawings and photographs, as well as video and film presentations, visitors can discover the four hundred years of the world’s oldest breed of horse, from their beginnings in Lipizza, and the esteemed institution of the Spanish Riding School which breeds and trains them. Exhibits include an exceptional collection of saddles, bridles, harnesses, and uniforms and of course there is the chance to catch a glimpse of the beautiful horses.
