Liechtenstein Gorge
A-5600 St. Johann im Pongau - Austria

Map
The 300 metre deep Liechtensteinklamm on the Grossarl river, one of the longest and deepest gorges in the Alps, is in two sections separated by a basin. The second section feeds 60 metre high waterfall where, given the right conditions, the spray from the falling water produces amazing rainbow like effects. The gorge and waterfall, first opened to the public in the late 19th century, are reached by a path which in places passes through tunnels which have been blasted into the rock
