The Schaubergwerk Arthurstollen is a museum devoted to the history of copper mining. The museum is based in a former copper mine of which a length of about 1 kilometre is currently open to the public. This mine has been existence ever since the Bronze Age and the museum collections and exhibits reflect the development of copper mining and refining from that time until the present. The visitors’ information centre is situated in an interesting industrial building dating from the twenties.
