Agrarium, situated at Upper Austria’s oldest castle site at Almegg, is a unique theme park devoted to plants and animals and adventure. There are imaginatively themed gardens with a vast array of different fruits, cereals, vegetables and many varieties of flowers and herbs. Except for the section planted with poisonous plants, everything which is ripe can be tasted. The surrounding meadows, which are teeming with butterflies and other insects, can be visited and it is possible to hire and stock up a picnic basket. The 10 hectare Tierpark is home to lots of domestic animals and visitors are encouraged to interact with them.
