The Stiftskirche at Kremsmünster is a mid 13th century church built in a style between the Romanesque and Gothic. It was remodelled in Baroque style the 17th century by the architect Antonio Carlone. The soaring interior is richly stuccoed and has twelve altars distributed in the choir and aisles. The altars have impressive kneeling and standing angels of marble, two of which, on the high altar are by Anton Pfaffinger. There are many other superb sculptures, the best being those of angels by Michael Zürn the Younger from the 17th century.
